Add PDF Documents to your Interactive Maps

pdf documents

You can easily add PDF documents to each location on your interactive map.

Click here to see an example of an interactive map with PDF documents.

You can include multiple PDFs for each location.

PDF viewer

Mapme will use the default PDF viewer available with the browser. The PDF readers are different on large screens, mobile devices, Android, IOS…

Most PDF viewer includes features such as zoom, print, and download.

Best practices

PDF document size

The PDF documents will be displayed in the media gallery preview on both large screens and mobile devices. If the PDF file is a very large file, it might take a few seconds to load in the preview area.  We recommend if possible, using small PDF files, less than 1MB.

If you need to include large PDF files, you can place them after the first position in the media gallery so they don’t display in the preview.

PDF file name

The PDF file name will be included as part of the document thumbnail. We recommend using meaningful file names. See example

How to add PDF documents?

In the Image and Document Gallery, click on the “ADD PDF” tab. You can drag your PDF files or click to select and upload the files from your computer.
