Map Access Control

With the interactive maps you generate with Mapme, no one can access the map unless provided with the URL. It is similar to a Google Doc for which you only give access to users with the URL.

In addition, you can further protect your map by restricting access to authorized domain referrers so the map can only be viewed when embedded in an authorized website domain.

This means that even if someone shares the map URL, visitors cannot view the map using the direct map URL.

Use Case Examples

Company Internal Map

Your map includes sensitive data and access should be restricted to some or all of your company employees. You can embed your map in your company intranet where access is limited to employees.

Members Map

Your map includes valuable information that you offer to paying members. You can embed the map behind a paywall.

How It Works

Add all the approved domains that should be whitelisted. The map will only be viewed when embedded in one of the authorized domains.

Remember that if you click on the “Open in Browser” button, the map will not display since direct URL access is blocked.
