Embed Media and Documents

You can embed virtually any online content within the media and document gallery on your map, from interactive media like 3D, VR, and 360 images to online documents like Notion pages, Google docs, and Microsoft spreadsheets…

Here is a list of some of the popular media and documents that you can embed in the gallery

How do you add an Embed?

To add an Embed to a map location, select the location in the editor and

• Click on “Add Image, Video, PDF, 3D Tour…”
• Click on the tab “Add Embeds”
• Enter the embed URL.
• Add a name for the embed (optional)
• Add an image cover (optional)

Keep in mind that you can add multiple Embeds for each location. For example, for the same location, you could add a Matterport 3D tour and a Momento360 image.

How are Embeds displayed in the different map views?

The display of the Embeds is optimized for optimal performance and usability in the different map views.

For the best user experience, we highly recommend you add a cover image for each Embed. If you don’t upload an image, we will display a placeholder image with a play button icon.

Note that for Matterport spaces, we automatically generate a thumbnail image so it’s not necessary to add a cover image.

Finding the embed URL

The embed URL can usually be found in the sharing option of the service you want to embed. Here are some examples

For Matterport
Click on the sharing icon and choose “Direct Link”. Note that you can use URL parameters to customize and fine-tune the behavior of your 3D showcase. Click here to learn more. We recommend using the following parameters: &play=1&brand=0&mls=1

For Sketchup 3D Warehouse
Click on Embed and select 3D viewer. You will get the iframe code. Simply copy and paste the URL from the iframe code. It should look like this example:

For YouTube 360-degree videos
Click on Share and select Embed. You will get the iframe code. Simply copy and paste the URL from the iframe code. It should look like this example:

For Notion
Use the “Copy Link to Block” URL. It should look like: https://www.notion.so/mapme/my-notion-page -88c4a3a0c86a4f6b91e86061

For Momento360
Use the sharing link. It should look like this example: https://momento360.com/e/u/a9b53aa8f8b0403ba7a4e18243aabc66

Wistia video platform
Use the URL from the embed code option in the sharing menu. Here is an example: https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/ih1g2ni33m

For DropBox
Use the sharing link. Note that the default sharing link opens on a Dropbox page. We recommend opening the document directly.
Simply replace the end of the URL ?dl=0 with ?raw=1
